The Book of Remembrance

In November the Church turns in a special way to those who have died — All Souls’ Day falls on November 2, and all month long we pray for the ones we have loved and lost. Parishes keep a Book of Remembrance near the altar through November; this book is ours. Write your loved one’s name below, and through November their name will rest here, held in prayer at this shrine before Saint Expedite.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Write a Name in the Book

One short line, as you would write it in a parish book.

🕯 Light a candle for them: a flame for a departed loved one burns for seven days in the chapel. Light a remembrance candle →

📖 Names Resting in the Book

Every name below is prayed for at this shrine through November. Read them slowly — and add your prayers to ours, especially for the souls no one else remembers.
